Fantatopia

幻想國度

A free multiplayer text adventure — no ads, and nothing in the game for sale. Cross four nations and a northern front, study under a master, join a guild, sail the open sea, and write your own legend. The world comes from my novel Rising Wind and Thunder. The game itself is played in Chinese.

Latest News

For six months the game has changed nearly every day. Here are some of the most recent updates.

2026-09-17

Fans and zithers become weapons; guild masters finally use their signature moves

The Tiandao Alliance job room opens seven jobs matched to your specialty; eighteen locked chests appear in shops across Shuntian and Qingzhou; over four hundred NPCs who could only stand and take hits learn to fight back; three new basic skills — fan, instrument, and music.

2026-09-16

The four Tiandao arts finally diverge at max level; wine is now for drinking

"Rob" splits into two paths, and your take depends on the victim's wealth; "Swindle" is no longer just robbery by another name — each mark gets a different con.

2026-09-15

Blades have no eyes: combat now leaves wounds

Three kinds of injury — wounds, grave wounds, and internal injury — treated with bandages, torn cloth, medicine, and physicians. Packs now have weight. Sparring stops short, but a blow you can't take can still kill.

2026-09-13

Cause trouble on guild ground and the guards come for you

Every guild leader and master re-equipped; the Demon-Locking Dungeon posts a bestiary; equipment drop rates lowered; places you can sleep are now clearly marked.

2026-09-10

Three Arts Against Demons: three battles, three manuals anyone can learn

The Demon-Subduing Sword Manual, Demon-Quelling Finger Manual, and Demon-Slaying Saber Manual — each born from a battle on the northern frontier.

2026-09-08

Casino overhaul: a sic bo table and a pai gow banker

One command shows the whole table, and bets accept units; the long pai gow table in the courtyard finally has a banker.

The World of Fantatopia

A Ming-inspired empire of the central plains, not yet a century old. Demons to the north, the Canglang tribes to the east, and sects at home that rival the throne itself.

Built by all four nations · the northern front

Jingbei Port

靖北港

A frontline harbor at the southern tip of the frozen north. For once, all four nations sent money, soldiers, and people; the Jingbei Accord stands carved in stone, and beyond the North Gate lies the demons' snowfield. Trade demon cores for rewards at the Merit Office.

Playable: Jingbei Port (113 rooms) · the snowfield beyond the North Gate

The sea between the nations

The Open Sea

萬洋

Ride the Pinghai ferry between nine ports, or buy your own ship: prices shift daily, brokers buy and sell cargo, and the sea holds naval patrols, whirlpool reefs, and black-flag raiders — and, at the heart of one reef ring, a harbor with no law at all.

Playable: Nine-port ferry · sailing and sea trade · five shipyards · Black Tide Harbor (own ship only)
