🔹 Creed: Acts of chivalry, punishing evil and promoting good, thunderous elimination of traitors, noble spirit lives forever
🔹 Headquarters: Thunderbolt Hall (hidden base in a prosperous town of Changfeng Republic)
🔹 Nature: Civil chivalrous organization, no fixed system, values righteousness and the "Great Way"
Thunderbolt Hall is not a traditional martial arts sect, but rather the most influential chivalrous organization within the Changfeng Republic. It operates independently of government control and avoids politics, instead taking the "punishment of evil and protection of the people" as its mission, specifically targeting local tyrants, bullies, corrupt officials, and criminal gangs. Thunderbolt Hall enjoys immense prestige among the people, seen as a guardian of justice; many who suffer oppression view it as their last hope.
The founder, Zhuge Yanwen, comes from a renowned martial family. His father was the famous hero Shi Zheng-Yi, and his mother hailed from a prestigious martial lineage. Influenced by a dual upbringing in Confucianism and martial arts, he demonstrated an extraordinary chivalrous spirit from childhood. In his youth, he witnessed corruption between local officials and the underworld, prompting him to walk the lands as "Zhuge Yanwen," robbing the rich to help the poor and upholding justice, earning a reputation that echoed throughout the martial world.
Years later, he gathered a group of like-minded righteous individuals to secretly establish Thunderbolt Hall in Changfeng’s largest commercial and transportation hub. It operates without strict rules or formal disciples, and has no fixed hierarchy; anyone dedicated to chivalry and unwilling to be bound by sect restrictions can join. Thunderbolt Hall belongs to neither the underworld nor the court; it is truly an organization of civil chivalry, hidden among the marketplace, maintaining justice through a path of "gratitude and revenge."
However, as Thunderbolt Hall’s influence expanded, they encountered their most powerful enemy—the Fist Gang.
While the Changfeng Republic is nominally a democracy, the criminal organization "Fist Gang" (拳幫) controls vast underground industries in the shadows, monopolizing the criminal economy through gambling, drugs, protection rackets, and underground fighting pits. The gang leader, "Jin Quan" (金權), lives by the motto "Fist is Power! Fist-force is Authority!" creating a criminal empire that respects only the power of the strike. Countless villains join the Fist Gang for power, and even government officials and commercial conglomerates have had ties with them.
Zhuge Yanwen and Thunderbolt Hall have spent years constantly striking at the Fist Gang's power, dismantling their industrial chains and rescuing countless civilians forced into slavery. They have become the Fist Gang's greatest thorn. Jin Quan has sent assassins and killers countless times and laid numerous traps to eliminate Thunderbolt Hall, but all have been thwarted by Zhuge Yanwen and his allies.
Now, Thunderbolt Hall and the Fist Gang have entered a state of all-out confrontation. Jin Quan has sworn to completely eradicate Thunderbolt Hall, while Zhuge Yanwen is determined to make the Fist Gang disappear from the Changfeng Republic entirely. This black-and-white showdown has become one of the most significant underground wars in the nation.
Unlike traditional sects, Thunderbolt Hall does not have a strict martial inheritance; instead, it is based on each member's personal martial background. However, Zhuge Yanwen occasionally teaches four core martial arts to the loyal and righteous members of the hall, allowing them to exert maximum practical effectiveness while upholding justice.
The Sky Buddha Sword Art is the supreme swordsmanship of Thunderbolt Hall, merging the way of the sword with internal energy, deterring evil like the illumination of Buddha’s light. Practitioners must cultivate a "Mirror-like Mind" and "Lucid Sword Heart" to transform sword qi into spirit, exerting unparalleled offensive and defensive power.
Sky Buddha Palm is another unique skill of Thunderbolt Hall, focusing on breaking evil with the palm and controlling enemies with qi. Practitioners must possess pure Yang intent and virtue, transforming internal energy into noble righteous qi to exert powerful defensive and counter-attacking capabilities.
Yide Spear Style is the unique spear technique of Thunderbolt Hall, piercing with righteous qi. It emphasizes both "Righteousness" (Yi) and "Virtue" (De), symbolizing the spirit of chivalry and punishing evil.
A peak light-body art (Qinggong) that emphasizes elegant movement like the wind. Practitioners must borrow the power of heaven and earth, circulating internal energy to achieve surprising mobility.
An internal cultivation method that emphasizes tempering the body from within and controlling enemies with qi. By accumulating righteous qi, practitioners can not only strengthen their own defense but also inspire comrades and dispel evil.
Thunderbolt Hall is not a tiered sect but an action-oriented chivalrous organization. Members are mostly equal, with responsibilities assigned based on ability and contribution. However, everyone deeply respects and follows the lead of Zhuge Yanwen, whom they call their Hall Master, along with his lifelong friend and Vice Master, Chen Lingyun.
